Earth’s population has exploded and there is not enough food to feed everyone. However, a special mineral has been discovered deep beneath the moon’s surface that, when used as a fertiliser, produces bumper crops, which are grown in massive domes. The whole operation is computerised. Machines self-diagnose and correct production problems and all produce is shipped back to Earth.

The moon base’s sole occupant Luca is in contact with Earth only for technical assistance should some aspect of the supply chain falter. He is a few weeks away from finishing his duty and returning to Earth when his ordered, monotonous world is interrupted by an unknown arrival – a female. Who is she? Where did she come from? What does she want? Is she friend or foe? Luca must discover these answers on his own. The base is weapon free and Earth is a long way away . . .
