Description

Pearson Ready.Set.Go> lets you start training sooner.

The Ready.Set.Go> Assessment Kit contains assessments and a diverse range of tools that will give you the foundations for a comprehensive assessment strategy.

The complete Kit is delivered to you on a CD-ROM with a user friendly interface. The CD is divided into two main sections: Assessment Tools and Trainer Tools. Documents on the CD are provided in Word and PowerPoint file formats, so that colleges can adapt them, add their own logos and distribute either electronically or as hard copies to their students.

About the Trainer tools
A range of tools are available to make teaching easier, including customisable PowerPoints, and Observation Checklists.

About the Assessment Tools
Each of the assessments has a Student version and a Trainer version – the Trainer version contains suggested answers or, if an answer cannot be provided, hints for the trainer to look for in student responses. Assessments are divided into the following categories:

  • Group based (GB) – These activities are designed to be completed in large or small groups. These may include but are not limited to comprehensive case studies.
  • Self study (SS) – These tasks are generally more suitable for individual learners, to be completed in class or in their own time. These could include short response and true/false questions, case studies and research tasks.
  • Workplace (WP) – These are designed to be completed in the workplace, or if this is not possible, in a simulated work environment.
  • Holistic (HL) – These assessment pieces are designed to assess the unit of competency as a whole.
