David Barnett speaks with Julie Hare at The Australian about our partnership with IBM’s Think Watson, the development of an augmented intelligence robot with cognitive learning abilities! But how does a robot help Australian students that are struggling with certain concepts or ideas, or aid with a more immersive learning experience?


“It means that class time can be spent providing students with a higher level of understanding rather than them just hashing through the really basic stuff that they should be able to learn in their own time,” Mr Barnett said.


“We also know the challenges universities have in retaining students. This always-available approach to tutoring may be the difference between a student successfully completing a required course or dropping out.”
