Author biography
David Bendell is very well known throughout New Zealand as a leading hairdressing educator as he had a very long association with the Wellington Polytechnic (now Massey University, Wellington) as senior lecturer and lecturer-in-charge of Hairdressing within the School of Fashion and Food.

Elizabeth Tehan is currently the Head of Faculty in a Sydney Hairdressing college, developing learning and assessment, and study programs for Certificate III and Certificate IV in Hairdressing and the Diploma of Salon Management courses. This work is an extension of 18 years in education, which has overlapped a long career as a Hairdresser, starting as a salon apprentice and expanding to a salon owner.
